I am enjoying my Kindle. It took me months to buy one for I am a book lover...but I am glad I decided to go for it and buy! |

Screen is messed up after one year! |
|
To be frankly, I didn't use it very intensively. But from several weeks ago, the screen was messed up and I can only see several scratches of lines on the screen. The quality is so bad and I won't buy kindle any more. iPad should be a better choice for me. |

Feel so ripped off.... |
I like this device, but having bought this six months ago at a price I'm embarrassed to state and seeing the price go down, down, down every other month... it's just really upsetting. Thesmartoutlet should do right the folks who bought early on, making this device #1 in its catagory and #1 most gifted and wished for item on Thesmartoutlet. Thesmartoutlet should take care of its loyal base and the folks who are buying more e-books than printed copies.
I do like this device. |

The greatest thing since sliced bread... |
I'm slow to adopt new technologies--there has to be a real benefit as opposed to a "need" generated by some marketing department. And, as a bibliophile, I love the sensory experience of reading--the feel of the book in the hand, the smell of the ink and glue, the way the paper moves when I turn a page. Even though the thought of having literally a thousand books in my hand was seductive, I resisted the siren call of the Kindle for a long time.
I finally succumbed--and I am now enchanted by this marvelous device. It is more than I hoped it would be. I can download a book on a whim (which is dangerous!) I'm never without something that I want to read, as opposed to what's available. I can hold a book of 1,000 pages in just one hand. I can read with the lights off--where was the Kindle when I was a child!
In sum, the single greatest purchase I've ever made. Thank you, Jeff Bezos! |
